Dear St. Sebastian Families,
St. Sebastian has been a very busy place the past two weeks. Catholic Schools Week was a great success, thank you to all families who participated in the weeks events. A special thank you to career day visitors, speakers at Sunday mass, International Potluck helpers and the SPC for preparing breakfast and lunch for Teacher Appreciation Day. This week parents met with teachers to discuss their student’s progress, STAR assessment reports were also discussed. Please make sure to share the “Glows and Grows” of this conversation with your child and continue discussions for growth with your student’s teachers. On Wednesday, Feb. 24th there will be two opportunities to meet with Mrs. Harty, one in the morning at 8am for coffee and another in the evening at 5pm. Both meetings are for parents only and have been planned during times when childcare is available. These events are for grades 1-8, we look forward to seeing you then. February is Black History Month. Our student council is presenting each week on the significant contributions and sacrifices made by African Americans. Student council members will be focusing specifically on those who have made contributions relating to human rights issues, religion, education, science and literature. Admissions Notes: If you are considering enrolling a new sibling in the school for next year, please contact the admissions office by February 19. We are receiving high interest for the upcoming year, and would like to reserve space for our current families. If you have friends or relatives interested in Saint Sebastian School, you can receive half off your registration fee upon their enrollment. Re-enrollment information for current students will come out next week via letter and email Important Dates to Remember
Tweet from Pope Francis: “God wants to live amidst his sons and daughters. Let us make space for him in our hearts.” God Bless, Ms. McDugald
