Dear St. Sebastian Families,

On April 11th, we had a one-day visit from the Western Association of Schools in California.  The school was given high praises for the work we have been doing.  A report will be generated and sent to the school in the next couple weeks.  One of the things we will be taking a look at is our SLE (student learning expectations).  Without going into too much detail, these are large overall learning targets that reflect our mission and vision.  Our next accreditation will be in 2018.  Thank you to all who helped out by responding to our parent questionnaire and meeting with the committee.

Summer school registration is now open, forms went home this week.  Please refer to the website or ask the front office for more information. Registration forms and fees for the first week are due by June 1st.

Our next festival meeting will be on Tuesday, April 19th.  Thank you to all our families that have spent countless hours planning for this event.  Be on the lookout for a schedule detailing events for the weekend.  There is something for everyone, fabulous auction items, games, family/friend activities, delicious food, and entertainment all weekend.  Please plan on spending your weekend at the festival; this is an event your children will remember forever!

Everyone has one more week to sell his or her raffle tickets. Remember your participation in this is super important to the school.  Selling a book of tickets gives you $100 toward your fundraising requirement.  Thank you to all our families who have already sold more than one book!  That’s the Spartan Spirit!

Notes from the Admissions Office:
Re-enrollment is currently underway. All re-enrollment forms, tuition agreements, and registration/technology fees must be turned in to the front office immediately.

If you have a young sibling that may be entering Saint Sebastian School, please let Mr. Higdon know.  We would like to reserve space for our current families. If you know a family that is interested in Saint Sebastian School, please refer them to the admissions office.  If they enroll, you will receive half off your registration fee or the equivalent amount on tuition.

Important Dates to Remember
  • April 19th Festival planning meeting
  • April 22nd- Vision Screening grades PK-K
  • April 22nd- Raffle tickets due
  • April 30 & May 1- Dia Del Nino Festival

Tweet from Pope Francis:
“The Lord’s presence dwells in families, with all their daily troubles and struggles, joys and hopes.”

God Bless,
Ms. McDugald
