Srta. Miriam Rodriguez (1st and 2nd Grade Español)

Saludos! My name is Miriam Rodriguez. I am thrilled to be teaching 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade in Spanish for the 2018-19 school year. I was raised bilingual, bicultural in a Mexican American family, growing up in Philadelphia while spending my summers in Blythe, CA. I have studied and lived in Mexico, Spain, Chile, Argentina, and Ecuador. Most recently I taught as an intern in Baltimore, MD in two charter schools and was an assistant teacher in a bilingual classroom for two years in Don Benito, Spain. I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University as well as a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and B.A. in Spanish Studies from Santa Clara University. I am very excited to be part of the Saint Sebastian family and to facilitate your child’s growth and ignite a sense of curiosity in learning language and culture.
 
¡Saludo! Me llamo Miriam Rodríguez. Voy a ser la profesora de primero y Segundo. Fui criada bilingüe y bicultural en una familia Mexicana American en Filadelfia, y pase los veranos en Blythe, CA. He estudiado en México, España, Argentina, Ecuador y Chile. He trabajado como asistente en Baltimore, MD en dos colegios, también trabaje dos años en Don Benito, España como asistente en clase bilingüe. Tengo mi Maestría de Artes en Educación de Johns Hopkins Universidad y un B.S de Ingeniería Mecánica  y B.A. en Estudios de Español. Estoy muy entusiasmada de continuar ser parte de la familia de San Sebastián y ayudar a su hijo crecer y ser bilingüe!
