Ms. Melina Mendez (3rd / 4th Grades)

Hello!!

My name is Ms. Melina and I am the 3rd and 4th grade teacher. 

I have worked at St. Sebastian since the fall of 2018 where I began as an aftercare teacher. In winter of 2018, I was asked to fill a long term substitute position for kindergarten and am happy to continue calling Kindergarten home.

I graduated from the University of California- Riverside with a degree in Anthropology and am currently attending Mount St. Mary's University for my Master's degree in Elementary Education. I have a love and appreciation for all languages and cultures. I grew up speaking only Spanish at home and English at school, but have taken some Italian and French classes along the way and hope to learn more languages in the future. When I'm not on campus, you can catch me listening to podcasts, reading a good book, or spending time with my many pets ( I have 7 to be exact!)

I am blessed to be working at St. Sebastian School and hope my students are excited for all the fun that awaits us in kinder!
