Ms. Glenda Canas Hernandez (Preschool)

Hello my name is Glenda Canas Hernandez

I was born in El Salvador. I studied in San Vicente, El Salvador most of my life. I was very interested in learning English as a Second Language where I studied some years. I moved to the US in 2009 and lived in San Francisco, CA to continue with ESL classes then I moved to Los Angeles and since then I have been working and studying and for this I am grateful. I graduated and received a certificate in Child Care Development Associates. I have five years of working with children and I feel so blessed to be part of Saint Sebastian School. I am so happy to be part of the process to educate our God’s children in their faith and academically. I am a mom too and I know what parents expect from us, as a teacher in preschool I will give them all love and assist students to development their mind, body, and spirit. Young children are very smart and with this great Dual Language Immersion program, I believe Saint Sebastian School has all the tools to help students have an even brighter and more successful future for our students.

I love to dance, go to the beach, swim, travel and spend time with my family, we enjoy go to church on Sundays and participate in parish activities. I like to discover and learn new things every day.

Hola mi nombre es Glenda Canas Hernandez

Nací en El Salvador. Estudié en San Vicente, El Salvador la mayor parte de mi vida. Siempre tuve mucho interés en aprender inglés como segundo idioma. Me mudé a EE. UU. en el 2009 y viví en San Francisco, CA para continuar con clases de ESL. Luego me mudé a Los Ángeles y desde entonces he trabajado y estudiado. Gracias a Dios me gradué y recibí un certificado en Child Care Development. Tengo cinco años trabajando con niños y me siento muy bendecida de ser parte de la Escuela de San Sebastián. Estoy muy contenta de ayudar a educar a los hijos de Dios en la fe y académicamente. También soy mamá y sé lo que los padres esperan de nosotros, como maestra de preescolar. Yo les daré todo el amor y ayuda para que los estudiantes puedan desarrollarse en mente, cuerpo y espíritu. Los niños pequeños son muy inteligentes y con este excelente programa de Inmersión en dos idiomas, creo que la Escuela Saint Sebastian tiene todas las herramientas para tener un futuro brillante y exitoso para nuestros estudiantes.

Me encanta bailar, ir a la playa, nadar, viajar y pasar tiempo con mi familia. Disfrutamos ir a la iglesia los domingos y participar en actividades parroquiales.
Me gusta descubrir y aprender nuevas cosas cada día.
