the Middle School Faculty
Roy
Quinto - 8th Grade/Middle School Social Studies and Religion
Roy Quinto received his B.A. from UC-Berkeley and his Masters Degree
from Harvard University in International Education Policy. While
he was at Harvard, he received his teaching credential in Political
Science and Philosophy. In addition to teaching at Saint Sebastian
School for his eighth year, Roy will begin his doctoral program
in Educational Leadership at Loyola Marymount University this summer.
Roy’s professional interests include history, government,
education policy, digital learning, educational technologies, and
college access for socio-economically disadvantaged students.
Erin
Rucker - Middle School Vice Principal/ 7th Grade Homeroom/Middle
School Reading and Writing
Erin Rucker earned her New York Certification in Elementary Education,
a Bachelor’s degree in English, and a minor in Education
at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She has also studied guided
reading for Grades 3-6 at Lesley University. After teaching 5th
and 6th Grade Science and English at St. Peter Catholic School
in Dorchester, MA for three years, Erin joined the St. Sebastian
School community in 2005 as the 5th grade teacher. She was then
asked to share her love and reading and writing with the middle
school and has been part of the middle school team since. This
is Erin’s fifth year at St. Sebastian School, where she has
also served as Middle School Vice-Principal for four years. She
continues to enjoy working with the St. Sebastian School community
and sponsoring events such as “Open Mic” night.
David
Han – 6th Grade Homeroom/ Technology Coordinator/ Middle
School Language Arts and Math
Dave Han earned a B.A. in philosophy from UCLA. Afterwards,
Dave worked in information technology at UCLA while also serving
as youth minister at St. Raphael Korean Catholic Center. Dave also
has an M.A. in Pastoral Theology at Loyola Marymount University.
Dave has taught, coached, and worked as athletic director within
the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for several years. He enjoys playing
basketball and playing the guitar. He is excited to be a part of
the team at St.Sebastian School.
Josh
Wilkinson -
Middle School Math and Science
Josh Wilkinson graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa
earning a B.A. in Education, a minor in History, and a Coaching
Certificate. He obtained his first Iowa State Teaching License
in 1997. In college, Mr. Wilkinson was a member of W.A.S.E (Wartburg
Association of Student Educators) and the Wartburg College Football
Team. Josh was the team’s starting center for three years
and he lettered all four years. Josh also taught in the Minneapolis
area for two years before relocating to the Los Angeles area. In
Los Angeles, Mr. Wilkinson taught for the Los Angeles Unified School
District for three years and obtained his California Clear Credential.
Josh shares his passion for Science and aptitude for Math with
the Saint Sebastian middle school students. This is his fourth
year at Saint Sebastian School.
